Myra has studied and taught Yoga, Ayurveda, nutrition,
meditation, and energy management since the late 1980s. Her
in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and psychology
enables her to approach people at their level to encourage the
integration of healthy balanced practices as a foundation for
living. Myra’s natural insight—honed by extensive study and
hands on experience—allows her to root out the cause of
persistent problems, revealing a path to balance and harmony.
She offers individual counseling sessions, meditation retreats,
teacher-training, and inspiring workshops around the globe.
Honoring the holistic nature of the human being, she has helped
many people move from destructive paths toward fulfillment. She
works with people in any stage of life including the elderly and
those recovering from addiction. Myra provides herbal formulas
for the individual and created a line of organic Ayurvedic
aromatherapy oils and spice oils for cooking.
Myra is a professional mediator, a minister in The Church of
Aesclepion Healing, organic farmer, and creative Ayurvedic cook.
Her book, Freedom in Your Relationship with Food: an Everyday
Guide, explains how to reawaken our sacred connection to what we
consume. A second book that illustrates how to embody love is
currently in progress. Myra has been an expert guest for
numerous radio shows and print articles.
Myra was grandfathered as a Yoga Alliance ERYT500 in 2003 with
over 9000 hours teaching experience and has a 500 hour
certificate from International Yoga Studies. She is a member of
the International Association of Yoga Therapists and conducts a
Yoga Alliance registered school for teacher training emphasizing
a harmonized approach to Yoga and Ayurveda.
Having practiced as a counselor in Ayurveda since 1999
and in her own life since 1995, Myra has focused on in-depth Ayurvedic study with the top
practitioners in India and the US.
Previously, Myra had a diverse career in the fields of medicine,
executive management, and business consulting. Her experience as
a corporate executive and consultant provided the jumping off
point for her current path. Integrating Yoga and Ayurveda into
her own life allowed her to overcome the challenges of
rheumatoid arthritis and leukemia.
With her focus on growth and service, Myra also enjoys world
travel, surfing and hiking. Her students benefit from the
example of her joy-filled life as much as from her teachings.
To be yourself in a world that is constantly
trying to make you something else is a great
accomplishment.
