Classes and
workshops are designed to develop a strong foundation of
balanced practices. They are approached as sacred methods for
turning one’s focus inward in order to be present and focused in
the world.
Teachings are drawn from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the
Upanishads, the Dhamapada, significant Ayurvedic texts, various
traditions from around the world and life’s experiences.
Contemporary personal growth approaches are also utilized in
relation to Yogic principles. Asana methods are drawn primarily
from Iyengar, Ashtanga, Scaravelli and others.
Workshops are typically 3 hours providing an opportunity for
in-depth clearing and new clarity. Classes are typically 1.5
hours in length. Contact info@myralewin.com to arrange a workshop in your area.

Workshops Topics include:
Freedom in Your Relationship with Food
Energy Management for Conscious Consumption and Daily Living
Practices for Balance and Harmony
Wellness Practices from Yoga and Ayurveda
Energy Management for Interpersonal Relations
Meditation for Expansive Living
Pranayama for Enhanced Vitality

Basic protocol for classes and workshops is as follows:
Always consult your health practitioner before undertaking any
physical activity.
Be on time and plan to stay to the end. Classes and workshops
are typically structured in a progressive manner. If you need to
leave early, please notify Myra in advance.
Please do not wear perfumed body or hair products to any class
or workshop.
Do not eat at least two hours before a Yoga class. Some liquids
(i.e., coffee, tea, and other stimulants) are best left out of
your system before any class.
Drink plenty of good, clean water before, not during, class.
Drink several glasses of pure, clean water following each class
or session. Drinking six to eight glasses of water a day flushes
out toxins.
Keep the breath smooth and comfortable in the practices. Pushing
too far or doing too much may cause injury and set you back, not
forward.
Your practices will vary one day to another depending on how you
are feeling.
Be aware; follow your breath and your feelings. Be patient,
listen, and learn from your body. This is when healing and
change takes place.

Thoughts from students
Myra was very inspiring. She applied her knowledge of Yoga
postures, Yoga philosophy and diet and nutrition specifically to
my needs. Afterward, my practice had become deeper and more
focused and I had gained
a greater understanding and acceptance of myself as a human
being. Most important, I had made a connection to my spirit.
This was a truly life-changing experience which left me with a
greater sense of clarity and peace than I have experienced
before."
~ P. Parthe, Yoga Teacher
Thank you so much for teaching the Ayurveda workshop last month.
It really has changed the way I've been eating. I've gone
through a series of awakenings about my health since the class,
and have been feeling better and better about my relationship
with food. Your book has helped me by reminding me to actually
Relate with the food I eat... Thank you for this gift! Thank you
for the follow up email, and I hope to cross paths again soon.

A time of renewal and inner focus with personal instruction in
all aspects of the Yoga practice.
~ S. Hardy, Yoga Teacher
As a yoga student and instructor, I came to renew my own
practice, as well as to cleanse and heal. Along with inspiring
classes, workshops, and coaching, I found myself not just a
student, but a member of a lovely community.
