The Guest House
This being human is a guest house
Every
morning a new arrival
a joy, a
depression, a meanness
Some
momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and
entertain them all
Even if
they are a crowd of sorrows
Who
violently sweep your house empty of furniture
Still treat
each guest honorably
He may be
clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark
thought, the shame, the malice,
Meet them
at the door laughing and invite them in
Be grateful
for whoever comes
because
each has been sent as a guide from beyond.
~
Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi

"This existence of ours is as transient as autumn clouds.
To watch the birth and death of beings is like looking at the movements of a
dance. A lifetime is like a flash of lightening in the sky, rushing by like a
torrent down a steep mountain."

"Every
thought and act can be transformed into Sadhana (spiritual practice),
can become a tool for our awakening...Relax, listen, watch, and the
whole world shall become your teacher. The more we give ourselves
to Spirit, the more our life becomes transformed, becomes centered,
becomes enough." ~ John Ernst

"One looks back
with appreciation to the
brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those
who touch our human feelings. The curriculum
is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is a vital
element for the growing plant and for the soul
of a child."
~ Carl Jung

"Lord, accept my impurities
Due to my ignorance
Purify my body, soul and chakras
From all negativity.
I offer myself to you, who are my father, mother.
The "I am" is your true child
So do not loose sight of it.
May it be so, Lord.
And, I place my doubts into your hands."
Amen / Awen |
