Integration through living your Yoga
Maui Yoga and Ayurveda, located
at Hale Pule
(House of Prayer) is a safe and sweet place to
practice applying Yoga and Ayurveda to your living.

Learning with myra is available through private
consultations, workshops, and retreats.

Myra's teaching is direct, individual, and compassionate.
Her focus is on allowing and supporting you in opportunities
to experience your Self in a new light and carry that into
your daily life.

Myra's teaching is from Raja Yoga and Ayurveda.  Teachings
are drawn from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Upanishads, the
Dhamapada,
significant Ayurvedic texts, various traditions from
around the world and life’s experiences.  Contemporary personal
growth approaches are also utilized in relation to Yogic principles.

Asana methods are drawn from Iyengar, Ashtanga and Scaravelli.

All of the practices are approached as sacred methods for turning
one’s focus inward.

In retreat, you will experience an inward journey to your Self and expand your embrace of Yoga and Ayurveda
as a way of life. The safety and consistency of the environment at Hale Pule encourages new ways of being.
Hale Pule provides a setting to learn more about who you truly are through the practices of Yoga and Ayurveda
with consistent support and guidance.  It is possible to develop new ways of relating to others, the earth, food
and eating through Yoga and Ayurveda.

over 25 years, she has explored, studied and worked in Yoga
studies, wellness, nutrition, Ayurveda, healing, intuition and energy
management.

significant life change, individuals
recovering from addictions, seniors, and teachers in training.

 Quotes & thoughts from myra's students ~

"Myra ... "teaches" you how to access your own
truth- while you are there and once you leave.
So for the first time leaving a retreat, I wasn’t
leaving a magical bubble in fear that the
moment the plane landed- it would burst-
leaving me back at square one again.
This time it was truly integrated."
                                                 ~ Dana in NY

"The month I spent with Myra was one of bountiful self-exploration
and discovery in ways I had not conceived possible. Being a
fairly introspective person by nature, I thought spending a month
on Maui practicing yoga and working with plants would be a
good way to reconnect with myself and learn healthier ways of
being. Both of those goals were accomplished; what I didn’t
expect was how clean and light I would feel, the joy of
experiencing a more pure and uncluttered view of the world,
and the revelation of truly understanding self-responsibility.
The consciousness cultivated at Hale Pule invites self-healing
to occur, at many different levels—from the wonderful, fresh,
clean cooking to the comprehensive yoga classes to the
openness to fully feel your emotions--all the while integrating
mental tools to establish a more awake and pro-active
existence in the outside world. Myra is very generous
with her home, her time, and her presence. A sense of
purity and connection to a deeper source of beauty and
knowledge is a true gift, one that I am happy to share
and further cultivate throughout my life.
Many, many thanks!!!"                        ~ Jaime

"As I sit down to write this, I almost don’t want to put words on paper
because I know however carefully I choose them, they will never be
adequate or precise enough to describe my experience with Myra at Hale
Pula. However, I will do my best because I feel what I have found is
something many, if not most, people on a "spiritual path" are seeking.
I have found a true teacher.

I went to Maui to do yoga and to heal from a major surgery. I was
surprised that as serious as my "illness" was... it did not seem to be
Myra’s focus. Nor did I find that yoga was the primary "focus".
Instead, it was living a truly yogic lifestyle, from the moment you
woke up until the moment you went to sleep. That included being kind to
your body and soul on every level. All of Myra’s extensive talent for
healing, meditation, teaching yoga, philosophy, therapy, nutrition,
food, cooking... were bestowed upon us freely, abundantly, and most
importantly, non- judgmentally. Until now, my experiences with
"teachers" had required some sort of loyalty... to a person, or a
program or a thought... but this was very different. I realized right
away, that Myra was not attached to the outcome- or to her own
teachings. She offers her wisdom lovingly, individually, and matter of
factly, whether we choose to accept it or not- Her goal is to give our
power back to ourselves.

I of course did accept everything that was offered … and in the
process, learned the meaning of ”healing on all levels".
My body physically and emotionally responded instantly, but the
biggest shift, I realized on my very last day, when to my surprise, I
was not devastated to leave. I had just had the most amazing month of
my life and I wasn’t grasping on to it. Because I knew this time I was
given the tools to take home to NY with me- and I can live the yogic
life wherever I happen to be. That is the true gift of Myra as a
teacher. She "teaches" you how to access your own truth- while you are
there and once you leave. So for the first time leaving a retreat, I
wasn’t leaving a magical bubble in fear that the moment the plane
landed- it would burst- leaving me back at square one again.  This time
it was truly integrated.

I believe that in this way, Myra is a modern day "guru". In the short
time I was there, I saw myself as well as eight other people,
transform... and then they were on their way.
I feel blessed to have met Myra - and for that, I would like to share
this blessing with everyone I know.
namaste.
                                                                            ~ Dana in NY

"I spent two months working with
Myra on Maui. She has a beautiful
piece of  land up country in Kula that
looks out to the ocean. There is plenty
of space to read, walk, and be alone
but there is opportunity to become a
part of the community as well. The
yoga classes are small and full of a
mazing men and women who help
make the classes a delight to be a
part of. Myra's knowledge regarding
nutrition, ayurveda, and all aspects of
yoga are most admirable. She values
her life and it has been a privilege to
learn from her. At Pea Place, you can
really hear yourself. Ideally, everyone
would take time each year to reconnect
with ourselves and the land. This is the
place to do it. I feel lucky to have found
such an amazing teacher
and more importantly...a really special
friend."
~ N. Alfers, Marin County California

"Shortly after experiencing a profound personal loss last fall I knew that,
within a few months, I would need a period of healing and renewal.
Only one possibility came to mind - I called Myra and scheduled two
weeks of personal retreat time at Hale Pu
le.

As a yoga student and instructor, I came to renew my own practice
,
as well as to cleanse and heal. Maui has always felt like a spiritual
sanctuary for me, Hale Pu
le made it even more so.  Intentions and
focus were discussed and my personal journey was allowed to unfold
and evolve gently and naturally under Myra's sensitive and sage
guidance.

Ensconced in natural beauty, lush and lovely, Hale Pu
le's simplicity
and serenity are conducive to just "being". Along with inspiring classes,
workshops, and coaching, I found myself not just a guest, but a member
of a lovely community. Privacy always respected, nurturing and support
always available, I was able to immerse myself in the true healing and
loving spirit of aloha.

I am so grateful for this transformative time - 2 weeks was barely
enough time...next time I plan to linger longer.

"I am very happy, that I found Myra
on the Internet. For only 8 days I came
all the way from Germany. The stay in
her wonderful house was worth every
single of the 15000 km! I really feel
very blessed, that I had the opportunity to
stay. In this one week I learned so much!
Myra is a great teacher and also a
superb cook.  Her Ayurvedic cuisine is
not only healthy but super delicious!
The stay at this very special place gave
me so much and energized me
enormously! I can’t wait to come back!
Thank you!

                               ~
G. Haage , Germany

"Myra was instrumental in expanding my understanding of Yoga, pranayama,
widening the dimensions of my meditation practice, enriching the flavors of
my asanas, and giving me, in the most assimilable way, the skills to begin
teaching other people meditation."                               ~G. Golding, Madison WI

"I spent two weeks at this retreat and it was simply the best thing I have ever done
for myself.  The atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful, the vegetarian food was
wonderful and Myra was very inspiring.  She applied her knowledge of yoga
postures, yoga philosophy and diet and nutrition specifically to my needs.  After
two weeks,  my practice had become deeper and more focused and I had gained
a greater understanding and acceptance of myself as a human being.  Most
important, I had made a connection to my spirit.  This was a truly life-changing
experience which left me with a greater sense of clarity and peace than I have
experienced before."
~ P. Parthe, Yoga Teacher,  Scottsdale, AZ

"Experiencing two weeks of living MY Yoga with the enlightening instruction of Myra
Lewin has had a very positive and subtle effect on the way I think and live.
Anyone, at any level, would find Myra’s practice to be deeply rewarding."
                                                                                        ~ J. Martinez   Carefree, AZ

"A time of renewal and inner focus with personal instruction in all  aspects of the
Yoga practice.  Peaceful and harmonious surroundings with the BEST and most
nourishing vegetarian food lovingly prepared by our gracious hostess.  Afternoons
at the beach balanced the days off perfectly giving time to assimilate and refresh
while enjoying the beauty and healing of the Hawaiian sand, sun and ocean. Can't
wait to return!"                                      ~ S. Hardy, Yoga Teacher,  Scottsdale, AZ

"Myra provides such a healthy & spiritual atmosphere you never want to leave and
when you do you start planning your next trip."
